Beyond Borders – Plans for 2025

The Beyond Borders strategic partnership develops in the following areas defined by the project’s objectives:

Practical / grass-root level activities, such as partner-finding activities, study visits or training courses etc. involving all three regions.

Key events involving all three regions (e.g. larger seminars or conferences/forums).

Promotional activities, showcasing of successful projects, information on the opportunities for youth cooperation between Programme and neighbouring partner countries.

Meta-level reflection, “harvesting outcomes”, analyses and publications, lobbying and advocacy, underlining the value and benefit of wider youth cooperation for all partners involved.

For 2025, a number of projects and initiatives have been identified:

  • Cross-regional support activities for partnership building and quality projects in Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps:
    • Partnership Building Activity for European Solidarity Corps – Volunteering Beyond Borders, in April, most probably in one of the southMed countries.
    • Partnership Building Activity on Erasmus+ Key Action 1Partnerships Beyond Borders, specifically for KA1 accredited organisations from programme countries and beginner organisations from neighbouring partner countries, in May, most probably in one of the Western Balkan countries.
    • Seminar on education games/tools development, focusing at content promoting youth cooperation between programme and neighbouring partner countries, in autumn in Armenia.

  • Enhancement of the promotion and information area:
    • Interregional meeting of Info Centres and Contact Points, in early spring in Albania.
    • Further development of the Beyond Borders portal, the newsletter and the presence of the partnership in social media.
    • Potential involvement of external expert(s) to support the promotion process.
    • Closer cooperation with the network of National Erasmus+ Offices (NEOs) in the neighbouring partner countries.

  • Evidence based analysis of available data concerning cooperation between programme and neighbouring partner countries:
    • Further examination of the outcomes of RAY NPC research project (research based analysis of European youth programmes in area of youth cooperation between programme and neighbouring partner countries).
    • Analysis of available statistical data of Erasmus+ Youth and European Solidarity Corps projects for the first part of current programming period 2021-2024.

  • Advocacy for the further development of the Programmes adapted to the needs of organisations involved in the cooperation between programme and partner countries (in view of the development of the new Programme generation);

  • Next NA/SALTO staff meeting on cooperation between Programme and partner countries, in one of the southMed countries, 20-24 October.
