The Beyond Borders strategic partnership develops in the following areas defined by the project’s objectives:
Practical / grass-root level activities, such as partner-finding activities, study visits or training courses etc. involving all three regions.
Key events involving all three regions (e.g. larger seminars or conferences/forums).
Promotional activities, showcasing of successful projects, information on the opportunities for youth cooperation between Programme and neighbouring partner countries.
Meta-level reflection, “harvesting outcomes”, analyses and publications, lobbying and advocacy, underlining the value and benefit of wider youth cooperation for all partners involved.
For the period 2023 – 2024, a number of projects and initiatives have been identified:
- Cross-regional support activities for partnership building and quality projects in Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps:
- Partnership Building Activity for European Solidarity Corps – Volunteering Beyond Borders, 25 – 29 June 2023, hosted in Prague, Czech Republic, with 70 participants;
- Partnership Building Activity on Erasmus+ Key Action 1 – Partnerships Beyond Borders, specifically for KA1 accredited organisations from Programme countries and beginner organisations from neighbouring partner countries, 7 – 11 November 2023, hosted in Ljubljana, Slovenia, with 50 participants.
- Interregional Partnership Building Activity, 10 – 14 June 2024, to be hosted in Morocco with around 70 participants.
- Further development of the Beyond Borders communication portal.
- Research based analysis of European youth programmes (RAY) study aimed to identify benefits and needs related to cooperation between Programme and neighbouring partner countries, with a focus on the perspectives of organisations based in Programme countries;
- Mainstreaming of cooperation with neighbouring partner countries in other Strategic National Agency Cooperations (SNACs), processes, strategies…;
- Advocacy for the further development of the Programmes adapted to the needs of organisations involved in the cooperation between Programme and partner countries (in view of the development of the new Programme generation);
- Next NA/SALTO staff meeting on cooperation between Programme and partner countries, Tbilisi, Georgia, 20 – 22 February 2024.
